Position: Accounts Officer (Full-time)

We are seeking a full time Accounts Officer to work onsite to assist the Hotel Finance Manager. You will learn both accounts payable and accounts receivable and will assist the department in carrying out daily, weekly and monthly tasks. 

 

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

 

• Reconciliation of daily revenue, credit payment and bank accounts
• Control and monitor prompt and accurate billing (includes group billing)
• Raising invoices and processing refunds as requested
• Responding to queries from guests as they arise
• Effectively manage aged receivables and report accordingly
• Management of all invoicing against purchase orders
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Provide support to the Finance department as required

 

About you

 

• Tertiary qualification (or working towards) a qualification in Finance or Accounting.
• Relevant finance experience in hospitality industry, with experience or familiarity with Opera, highly advantageous
• Working knowledge of MYOB accounting software
• Strong eye for detail and high regard to confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications particularly Microsoft Excel
• Work rights in Australia
