Position: Houseman (Full-time)

The Branksome Hotel & Residences (TBHR), situated within walking distance of Mascot Station and the Domestic airport, provides luxury serviced apartments for short or long stay guests. We are currently looking for exceptional individual to join our team as a full – time Houseman.

 

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor, the successful candidate will be tasked to, but not limited to the following:

 

• Ensure housekeeping departmental standards are followed
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist room attendants to ensure guest rooms are prepared efficiently
• Maintain inventory in the housekeeping closets
• Respond timely to guests’ special request for miscellaneous items e.g. cribs, cots, extra towels, etc.
• Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from room attendants’ carts and closets
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Report necessary maintenance items
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies

 

We are looking for someone with:

 

• Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in the English language
• The ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Superior customer service skills with the ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance to confidentially
• The flexibility to work on rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
•  Full working rights in Australia
